Kidney failure occurs because kidney function has decreased until finally unable
to work in terms of filtering and removing body electrolytes, unable to maintain
fluid balance and body chemicals, such as sodium, potassium in the blood or are
unable to produce urine. Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a condition in which
kidney function declines over time. The nature of dialysis treatment as
replacement therapy so that treatment is carried out continuously. Reusing a
dialyzer is an act of using a dialyzer more than once on the same patient and is
able to save costs. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in
hemoglobin levels in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) who underwent
hemodialysis therapy using a reuse dialyzer to 1,3,5,7 in the hemodialysis Room
of Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital Malang. This research is a quantitative research
with a cross sectional approach to research design. Sampling using purposive
sampling technique a number of 40 respondents. The results of the dependent t
test and the Wilcoxon test showed a p value>0.05, it can be concluded that there
is no difference in hemoglobin levels before and after hemodialysis with dialyser
reuse either to 1, 3, 5 and 7. The results of the One Way ANOVA test are
0.648>0.05, it can be concluded that there is no difference in the average
hemoglobin level before hemodialysis, both when using repetitions 1, 3, 5 and 7.
The P value of the Kruskal Wallis test results is 0.716> 0.05, it can be concluded
that there is no difference in median hemoglobin levels before hemodialysis, both
when using repetitions 1, 3, 5 and 7. Thus, the use of dialyzer reuse remains safe
for up to 7 times of use, dialyzer reuse does not affect the decrease in patient's HB
levels. This study can be used as a basic reference for further researchers to
develop the use of dialyzer reuse seen from various aspects of Chronic Kidney
Disease (CKD) patients such as the average number of erythrocytes, hematocrit
levels and so on.
