Introduction: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a new disease where the
disease is caused by the SARS Cov 2 virus, WHO has designated this virus as an
outbreak or pandemic. The higher the number of confirmed COVID-19 patients,
causing mental health problems. The mental status experienced by nurses are
depression, anxiety, stress, insomnia, somatic symptoms, PTSD, ASD, and
suicidal ideation. The purpose of this study was to determine the mental health
status of nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic based on the literature review.
Method: research method using literature review. Result and Analysis : The
results showed that from 12 journals, 11 journals said that nurses experienced
poor mental health and 1 only 1 journal stated that mental health that occurred in
nurses was good mental health with a result score of 59.8% experiencing normal
levels of depression. , 51.9% experienced normal levels of anxiety and 71.1%
experienced normal stress.Discussion and Conclusion : Therefore, it is
recommended that nurses be able to handle the factors that trigger the emergence
of mental health disorders in various ways, one of which is by adapting to
improving the care of COVID-19 patients, hospital policies and support are also
needed to minimize the occurrence of mental health disorders experienced by
nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic. -19 this
