In Indonesia, development in the industrial sector is increasing every year so that
it can open up job opportunities. However, on the other hand, there are also
negative effects, for example in companies engaged in asbestos production.
Asbestos is one of the building materials which in the process uses krisotil,
cement, cellulose fiber, and water in the right composition. Furthermore, it is
formed into flat sheets or waves then the formed sheets are placed on top of the
mold and allowed to dry until they become a finished product. Asbestos inhalation
is one of the causes of pneumoconiosis or fibrotic disease of lung parenchyma
tissue caused by inhalation of the dust in the long term, namely asbestosis. The
data in this study uses secondary data which is data obtained not from direct
observation, but data obtained from research results, which have been carried out
by previous researchers from texbooks, journals, scientific articles, and literature
reviews which contain CRP levels in workers. due to exposure to asbestos dust.
The results found that CRP levels increased beyond normal limits due to exposure
to asbestos dust.
