Cervical cancer is a malignant tumor originating from squamous epithelial cells. Regardless of age and background, every woman is at risk of developing cancer caused by infection with the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). The purpose of this study was to determine the analysis of the characteristics of cervical cancer risk factors with the Pap smear method. The design of this study was a descriptive method. The methodology used in this study is a literature study with a literature review using databases from Google Scholar, Pubmed, and Sciencedirect. Sampling using quota sampling and obtained 8 appropriate journals based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research journals are then compiled and a journal summary is made including the name of the researcher, the year the journal was published, the title of the study, the method and a summary of the results. The results showed that the characteristics of cervical cancer risk factors with the Pap Smear Method were characteristics in terms of age, parity, and knowledge. The public, especially women, are encouraged to carry out self-examinations related to cervical cancer at available clinics if they experience symptoms that indicate infection in the reproductive organs, especially symptoms of abnormal vaginal discharge to prevent cancer.
