Cigarette smoke is a source of exogenous free radicals that come from burning cigarettes. Cigarette smoke is divided into 2, namely main smoke and side smoke. The purpose of this study was to determine how the preparations were stained using the Hemaktoxylin Eosin method and the histological examination of the lungs of mice (mus musculus) due to exposure to cigarette smoke. The method used is a literature study using Google Scholar database data. Sampling using quata sampling and obtained 8 journals based on inclusion criteria. The journals were collected and a summary of the journals was made including: the name of the researcher, the year the journal was published, the title of the research method and a summary of the results. Result : Cigarette smoke is the cause of oxidative stress causing an imbalance of oxidants and antioxidants and triggering inflammatory reactions. Based on the results of observations on the lungs of mice (Mus musculus) on several examinations obtained results such as degeneration, necrosis, thickening of the alveolar septa. Degeneration and necrosis that occur due to toxic substances contained in cigarettes.
