The Covid-19 pandemic has given the rise of anxiety for nurses in conducting their jobs. Anxiety is a factor that affects the work motivation of nurses. This research aimed to understand the relationship between work motivation and nurses' anxiety levels during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was a correlation study with populations of 70 people and samples of 60 respondents. The data collection technique applied work motivation and anxiety questionnaires using the Zung self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS or SARS). In addition, the data analysis methods used the Spearman Rank and SPSS 21 test. This research showed that 47 respondents (78.33%) experienced moderate motivation and 58 respondents (96.67%) experienced normal anxiety. Moderate work motivation was related to facilities and rewards (salaries) given by relevant institutes, and normal anxiety occurred because nurses could control the anxiety and feel psychologically safe. Spearman rank test results obtained p-value = (0.190) > (0.05), which means that there was no significant relationship between work motivation and nurse anxiety. In this research, the meaning of the negative correlation coefficient was that the higher the work motivation of nurses, the lower the anxiety level of nurses during the Covid-19 pandemic. The researcher suggested that further research should add more variables and apply other research methods.
