Low Back Pain (LBP) or lower back pain is a result of musculoskeletal disorders that occur in the muscles of the lower back. Trigger factors can be due to pinched nerves, inflammation, trauma, and infection to psychological. This case causes the world of work to lose working hours, up to 264 million working days in a year. The prevalence of LBP in Indonesia is 18% and will increase with age. TENS is a small machine that is operated by using electricity with small power as a method of modality therapy that is quite effective for reducing pain. This study was aimed to determine whether there was a difference in pain scale between before and after TENS therapy was given to LBP patients, using a pre-post test design in one group. This research was conducted in September 2021. The research sample was 47 respondents using a purposive sampling technique, the data collection technique was using a questionnaire. Based on the results of statistical tests with the Wilcoxon Test analysis, the value of p = 0.000 was obtained. If the significant value is > 0.05 then H0 is accepted. If the significant value is < 0.05, then H1 is rejected. Overall, it can be concluded that TENS therapy is still the treatment of choice in LBP patients to reduce the pain scale with a very significant value.
