The impact of working shift patterns has an influence on the interactions and relationships of mothers who have a dual role in preschool age children. Children's needs for conveying feelings often experience obstacles when their interactions are disrupted, a phenomenon that exists there are problems in children's emotional behavior. This study aims to describe the relationship between the impact of shift work mothers and the emotional behavior of preschoolers. The study used a cross-sectional correlation design using a non-probability sampling technique with a saturated sampling approach. A sample of 54 respondents or a total of all selected populations, namely mothers who work shift patterns in Irna IV RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang who have preschool age children. Spearman Rank test resultsi showed a significant relationship, namely 0.000 (p <0.05) with a strong correlation value (r = 0.669) which means that there is a relationship between mothers working shift patterns with the emotional behavior of preschool-aged children at Irna IV RSUD dr Saiful Anwari Malang. The results of this study indicate that the mother's shift work pattern is sufficient to influence the development of the emotional behavior of preschool-aged children. Inappropriate shift patterns have an influence on problematic emotional behavior in preschool age children, it is necessary to have an appropriate shift pattern arrangement for mothers who work shift patterns at Irna IV RSUD Dr Saiful Anwar Malang.
