Boredom, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic which requires staying at home (a form of entertainment that many students choose during Covid-19 is playing online games College students who play online games with excessive time frequency can make the eyes rarely blink, even though blinking is very important to reduce the risk of astenopia. The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between the frequency level of playing online games and the incidence of astenopia in students of the Nursing Study Program STIKes Maharani Malang. The methods Research design uses correlative design with a cross sectional approach. The research population of 67 students of STIKes Maharani Malang Nursing Study Program and a research sample of 56 respondents with determination using Puposive Sampling. Data collection techniques use instruments in the form of questionnaire sheets of the frequency level of playing online games and the occurrence of astenopia. The data analysis method used is the Spearman Rank test. The results showed that almost half of 25 (44.6%) respondents had a frequency of playing online games twice / day and almost half of 25 (46.4%) respondents experienced a moderate incidence of astenopia. The conclusion Spearman Rank test results showed there is a relationship between the frequency level of playing online games and the incidence of astenopia in students of the Nursing Study Program STIKes Maharani Malang obtained p value = (0.000) < (0.05), meaning that the more often the frequency of playing online games can cause astenopia events in students.
