Treadmill test is one of the diagnoses for heart disease that can cause anxiety. Non-pharmacological therapy for anxiety is Benson relaxation which is a relaxation that combines relaxation response techniques and individual belief systems. This study used a pre-experimental one group pre- and post-test design. Sampling using purposive sampling with a sample of 52 respondents. The instrument used is STAI (State-Trait Anxiety Inventory) which contains 20 state anxiety items and 20 trait anxiety items. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. From the results of the Wilcoxon test, it was found that there was a significant effect on decreasing the anxiety level of the patients before the treadmill test with a p value < α (0.000 < 0.050). It was concluded that there was an effect of Benson's relaxation on the anxiety level of pre-treadmill patients. Benson relaxation is expected to be one of the non-pharmacological intervention options to reduce anxiety levels and facilitate patients undergoing a treadmill test to perform gasoline relaxation.
