The ability of nurses to communicate is the basic capital in caring behavior. Caring is able to create a sense of comfort because the patient feels valued and cared for so that it will affect the healing process and is very suitable to be applied in providing nursing care, one of which is psychological care in the form of anxiety or anxiety. Patients who are anxious while undergoing chemotherapy are likely to experience unpleasant effects due to the length of time it is carried out, causing anxiety, fear, and anxiety about chemotherapy actions. For this reason, an appropriate approach is needed, one of which is caring behavior. The higher the caring behavior, the lower the level of anxiety experienced by chemotherapy patients. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between nurses' caring behavior and the level of anxiety of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy in Inpatient 1 RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang. The research design used is correlational research with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study were 41 people. The results showed that most of the 21 respondents (51.22%) had sufficient caring behavior and more than half of the respondents, namely 28 respondents (68.29%) had mild anxiety levels. There is a relationship between the caring behavior of nurses and the anxiety level of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at IRNA 1 RSUD dr. Saiful Anwar Malang (p=0.030). The close relationship between nurses' caring behavior and the anxiety level of cancer patients is inversely proportional and the strength is weak with a value (r= -0.340), which means that the higher the nurse's caring behavior, the lower the anxiety level of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. It is hoped that nurses can provide more intensive attention, thereby reducing the anxiety of patients undergoing chemotherapy.
