Chemotherapy can cause both physical and psychological side effect. These side effect can affect the patient”s level of compliance whwn undergoing chemotherapy. One of most influential factors ini chemotherapy adherence is the side effect factor, communication and family dupport. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the level of adherence in running chemotherapy. The instrument of this research used a questionnaire. This research method uses a retrospektif technique, namely using colorectal cancer patients who have completed the chemotherapy program at the asurgical clinic at RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang. The sampling technique used the total sampling method with 41 respondents. The result showed that most of the 20 respondents (48,8%)experienced severe side effects, 37 respondents (90,2) had good communication with health workers, 25 respondents (61%) had low family support and 40 responden (97,6%) did not comply with the chemotherapy program. Based on the Spearman Rank statistical test, it show the correlationvalue of side effect (0,695), communication (0,678), family support(0,684) and the sig value on three variabel, namely 0,000 with p value <0,05 so it can be concluded that there is a stong and signifik of compliance. So it can be an and signivikan correlation between three variabel on the level of compliance. So, it can be conclude that in order to increase the level of patient compliance ini undergoing chemotherapy, research must provide explanations and knowledge about chemotheraphy, establish effective communication and involve families to support treatment programs for chemotherapy patients so thet they can improve the healing rate and quality of the life og patients.
