Abstract:
Mother and child are family members who need priority in managing health efforts, because mother and child are a group that is vulnerable to the general situation of the family and environment. The success of maternal and child health efforts, which can be seen from the indicators of Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). This indicator is not only able to assess health programs, even more able to assess the level of public health, because of its sensitivity to improving health services, both in terms of accessibility and quality. Based on a survey in Widya Husada PMB, Blimbing, Malang City, cumulative data were obtained from November 2018 to January 2019, the coverage of normal maternity mothers a total of 27 mothers gave birth. In addition, of the total deliveries, there are referral reasons, namely pre-eclampsia, prolonged labor, and a history of cesarean section. Improving the quality of maternal and infant health services, one of which is the importance of providing comprehensive care. Comprehensive midwifery care for childbirth is a detailed and comprehensive examination for birth mothers. The aim of maternity midwifery care is to provide motivation and support that will affect the progress of labor, and the duty as a midwife itself is to give birth and refer patients if complications occur. Comprehensive care for mother and baby if not done can increase maternal and infant mortality rates, caused by the absence of complications detected early. So hopefully this comprehensive midwifery care can reduce maternal mortality in Indonesia, especially in Malang, East Java.
