Adolescence is a critical stage of life that has high health risks. Health problems that often arise in adolescence are due to lack of food intake. If food intake is reduced it will affect the body's system, so that health status decreases. One result of a lack of food intake is a decrease in the quality of blood cells (decreased hematocrit levels). This study aims to determine hematocrit levels with food intake in young women. This research is a descriptive research with purposive sampling technique. The population in this study were students of DIII 4th and 6th semester Health Analysts as many as 65 female students. The sample used was in the form of capillary blood from 33 female students who were in accordance with the inclusion criteria. Hematocrit levels were examined using the microhematocrit method, while food intake was known from the results of the questionnaire and estimated food records. The results showed that there were 7 female students who had low hematocrit levels (with a range of 34% -36%) with less food intake, 25 female students had normal hematocrit levels (ranging from 37% -46%) with adequate food intake, and 1 female student have a high hematocrit level of 48% with less food intake. The conclusion of this study is that if food intake is less then it can reduce hematocrit levels, so it is expected that young women pay more attention to and regulate food intake to fit the body's needs.
