GAMBARAN HASIL PEMERIKSAN C-REACTIVE PROTEIN (CRP) PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2 DI RUMAH SAKIT UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH MALANG

Diabetes mellitus is a condition of hyperglycemia that occurs due to insulin resistance and if not managed properly can caused heart complications. This studied aims to determined the levels of C-reactive Protein (CRP) in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 as early detection of DM complications. This research is a descriptive with sampling quota technique. The sample in this studied were patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 who suffered DM between 1-10 years, did not suffer from other infections, routine drug therapy and not routine drug therapy amount 28 respondents. The results showed that CRP levels a normal were 8 samples from non-routine therapy groups. High levels of CRP can be caused due to the inflammatory response arising from complications of DM, while negative results can be caused by respondents who routine therapy. In addition, negative results are also caused by methods that are used in relative low sensitivity so that they cannot detect CRP in small quantities. Allow from the studied can be known an increase in CRP levels in DM type 2 patients from non-routine therapy groups as a syptoms of inflammation. Future studies can use the latest tools and methods that are more sensitive than CRP Agglutination.
