Consuming alcohol excessively over a long period of time can cause cell death to be faster than the number of cell renewals and damage the ability of the liver to regenerate liver cells. There are various types of disease causedby alcohol consumption, one of them is liver function disorders(alcoholic liver). The research aims to knowing description of Gamma-Glutamyltrasferase on alcoholic beverage consumption. Type of descriptive research with design non random sampling (Purposive Sampling). The sample in this research were 16 respondents consumed alcoholic beverages. The results in this research showed 7 sample abnormal Gamma-Glutamyltrasferase (44%) with an average 71,1 U/L and 9 sample had normal levels (56%) with an average 27,1 U/L. Abnormal levels of Gamma-Glutamyltrasferase are caused by factors such as long consumption of alcoholic beverages, Average frequency of consumption alcoholic beverages, types of alcoholic drinks consumed and amount of alcoholic beverages consumed. The conclusion of this study is that there are abnormal results in the Gamma-Glutamyltrasferase. Further research can be added, such as Alkalifosfat, Albumin, Bilirubin, SGOT, SGPT well as supporting results liver disfunctions.
