Infectious diseases are still prioritized considering the contagious nature can cause an outbreak. Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is one of the infectious diseases caused by the Dengue virus through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. Aedes aegypti is the main factor in the transmission of DHF. The purpose of the study was to observe larvae macroscopic, making the preservation preparations, microscopic observations and comparing the results of observations using parasitological atlases. This research is descriptive, the sampling technique is purposive sampling. Sampling was carried out in 15 baths in the homes of residents in RW 04 / RT 04, Bareng Sub-District, Klojen District, Malang City, then identified macroscopically and microscopically. Based on the macroscopic identification of 7 positive baths, there were found Aedes aegypti larvae with a total of 17 larvae which were oval-shaped and blackish brown in color. House Index (HI) is 47% and the rate of larvae is 53%, where as microscopic identification, the characteristics of larvae found to have fine hair, antennae, oblong and oblong bodies, shipons, and different larval sizes. The results of comparison with the atlas parasitology of larvae are Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae, this region is included in the high risk category of dengue transmission. Suggestions for Bareng health centers to further improve the education of larva surveys and for residents of Bareng to better maintain the cleanliness of the bath by applying 3M (closing, draining, and stockpiling).
