The use of pesticides as a pest control in plants is one of the efforts to improve the quality and productivity of agricultural products. The use of pesticides can contaminate the user directly so that it uses poisoning. Farmers have a greater risk of exposure to pesticides. Examination of cholinesterase in blood serum is one way to determine the level of poisoning in the blood of farmers. This study discusses the levels of cholinesterase in farmers exposed to pesticides in Supiturang Hamlet, Bocek Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency. This type of research is descriptive with purposive sampling technique. The population in this study is the 'Tri Rejeki' Farmer Group as many as 53 people. The sample used consisted of serum from farmers with inclusion criteria, using organophosphate and carbamate pesticides, exposed to pesticides >2 weeks. Cholinesterase levels were examined using a spectrophotometer method using the principle of absorbance reading. The results showed that farmers exposed to organophosphate and carbamate pesticides received 87% normal and 13% abnormal cholinesterase levels. A decrease in cholinesterase levels in farmers averaged 5.96 kU / L on spraying pesticides for more than 2 hours, 2.14 kU / L on spraying pesticides for 2 hours and 5.67 kU / L on spraying for 1 hour. The conclusion of this study were 14 respondents who had normal cholinesterase levels and 2 respondents who had normal cholinesterase levels. Suggestions for further research, discuss the kinetic and enzymatic photometers.
