Nematodes are one of the most common types of parasitic worms found in the human body, nematodes that live in the human intestine are called intestinal nematodes. This is a problem with canned fish products, One of the events that occurred on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 Responded to the case of worm findings in canned mackerel fish products in products by the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency. RI BPOM released a list of 27 brands of canned mackerel that positively contain worms Anisakis Sp. Indonesian Consumers Foundation, the emergence of worms in processed food caused by unhygienic and unhealthy production processes. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of hygiene of canned fish products and identify intestinal nematodes in canned fish products in Malang by sedimentation methods. The population of all canned fish product researchers in Malang City, the sample consisted of 15 canned fish samples with various brands. Sedimentation inspection method, with accidental sampling technique. The results found (37.5%) positive found Ascaris lumbricoides (25%) positive Enterobius vermicularis eggs, (12.5%) positive found Necator americanus and while (25%) positive found Trichuris trichiura. Suggestions for further researchers is to identify non-helmint nematode eggs in canned fish products.
