GAMBARAN PAPARAN TIMBAL (Pb) TERHADAP KADAR HEMOGLOBIN DARAH PADA PETUGAS SBPU

Petrol station officers have a high risk of being exposed to lead (Pb) because every day they work in places associated with motorized vehicles. Lead (Pb) released into the air can enter the human body through inhalation, then it will settle in the blood which can inhibit the formation of hemoglobin. This study aims to determine the description of lead (Pb) exposure to blood hemoglobin levels at gas stations. The method used in this research is literature study. The population of 3,128 journals were found through the NCBI database and gogle scholar with the keywords lead exposure to hemoglobin in gas station officers. The sample used was the blood of gas station officers who were drawn from 8 journals. The sampling technique uses quota sampling. The results of the examination were concluded from 8 journals, namely. gas station attendants have high lead levels and low hemoglobin levels. High levels of lead in the blood can be affected by age, smoking and length of work. the higher the lead level in the blood, the lower the hemoglobin level. High levels of lead in the blood can inhibit enzymatic reactions in the process of hemoglobin formation. Suggestion, Implement regulations on wearing masks and gloves when working, in order to reduce exposure to lead (Pb) from vehicle exhaust gases.
