PEMBERIAN ASI BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN ISPA (Literature Review)

Abstract
Introduction : Acute respiratory tract infection (ARI) is one of the most common reasons
found for hospital visits. In Indonesia the prevalence of ARI reaches 25%, and the five
provinces with the highest ARI are East Nusa Tenggara (41.7%), Papua (31.1%), Aceh
(30.0%), West Nusa Tenggara (28.3 %), and East Java (28.3%). Method : This study aims to
identify the relationship between breastfeeding and the incidence of ARI. The design used is
literature review, journals were collected using several databases, namely Google Scholar,
and Science Direct published in 2015-2020 using keywords, namely breastfeeding, acute
respiratory infections (ISPA). Based on searches on Google Scholar and Science Direct using
the keywords Breastfeeding, Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI), 14 journals were obtained, 8
journals from Google Scholar database and 6 journals from database Science Direct. This
review literature analysis is synthesized using the narrative method. Result : The results of
this study indicate that breastfeeding is effective in reducing the incidence of ARI because in
the breast milk contains substances that can increase immunity so that it can avoid various
kinds of infectious diseases and one of them is to avoid ARI. Conclusion : Acute respiratory
infections (ARI) are still one of the most common causes of visits to hospitals or health
centers, and ARIs are still high in tropical areas and developing countries, including
Indonesia. Breastfeeding is effective in reducing the incidence of ARI because breast milk
contains substances that can increase immunity so that it can avoid various kinds of infectious
diseases and one of them avoids ARI
