Identifikasi Teknik Pemakaian Popok Dan Kejadian Diapers Rush Pada Bayi Usia 0-12 Bullan Di BPS Wulan Rahma

Diaper rush is a reddish, inflamed patch accompanied by hard, scaly skin, abrasions caused by the use of diapers directly or indirectly on babies. Baby's skin is relatively thinner and the protective function is not yet perfect, making babies more susceptible to infection or skin disorders. Incorrect usage techniques and the selection of inappropriate types of diapers can support the occurrence of diaper rush in babies. The purpose of this study was to identify diaper usage techniques and the incidence of diaper rush in babies aged 0-12 months at BPS "Wulan Rahma". The research design used was descriptive, the population in this study were all mothers who had babies who used diapers at BPS "Wulan Rahma" totaling 22 people with a purposive sampling technique so that a sample of 22 people was obtained. Based on the descriptive analysis of the results of the study, the highest percentage of diaper usage techniques was the sufficient level of 50%, and the rest were correct levels of 45.5%, and incorrect 4.5%. While for the incidence of diaper rush, 50% of the total respondents experienced diaper rush and 50% did not experience diaper rush. For incorrect usage techniques, 100% experienced diaper rush, sufficient techniques, most of which 54.5% did not experience diaper rush, while correct techniques occurred in 50% and 50% did not occur. The incidence of diaper rush based on diaper type, 100% of those using cotton did not experience diaper rush, 50% of those using flannel did not experience diaper rush and those using plastic, most of which 67% still experienced diaper rush. The conclusion is that diaper usage techniques are closely related to diaper usage events. Referring to the results of the study, mothers are advised to pay attention to diaper usage techniques and the selection of diaper types properly and correctly.
