Pulmonary tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The disease mostly attacks the lungs, but can also affect other organs such as skin, brain and bones. WHO estimates that between 2002 and 2020, 1 billion people will be infected, more than 150 million people will be sick and 36 million people will die from TB if future control is not good. This study aims to determine the description of levels of CRP (C-Reactive Protein) in tuberculosis patients who are taking medication. The study design used in this study was descriptive, in which the population in this study were pulmonary TB sufferers in the Batu City Health Center with 37 patients, with a total sample of 15 patients taken as a side quota. The results showed that patients with tuberculosis with 1-2 months of treatment showed positive results in 5 patients, with titer 1/2 (12 mg / L) in 3 patients and titer 1/4 (24 mg / L) in 2 patients. At 3-4 months of treatment, negative results were obtained in 2 patients and positive in 3 patients with levels ≥ 6 mg / L, in 5-6 months of treatment negative results were obtained in 5 patients. These results confirm that the highest CRP levels occur during the initial phase of treatment and will progressively decrease in line with the reduction in inflammation, so it is hoped that patients with tuberculosis remain adherent to treatment to maximize healing.

Key words: Pulmonary tuberculosis, C-Reactive Protein, Pulmonary TB Treatment.
